Leguś

Male · Young · 2 years

Legus is a completely different dog now than when he first came to us. Now, when his caregiver enters his enclosure, he immediately seeks contact to cuddle. His character When he arrived, he was withdrawn, although never aggressive. A lot has changed since then: today he freely approaches the cage bars, and the sight of a familiar person brings him obvious joy. He is still a dog who needs time to get used to new situations and is easily distracted, but the direction he is heading in is very good. Relationship with humans When the caregiver enters the enclosure, he immediately seeks contact and is happy to snuggle up, although this was not always the case. This is a big change from the first days, when he did not approach on his own and avoided closeness. He may still need more time to build trust with new people, but it is clear that he can form attachments and seek closeness when he feels safe.

PL·Show original

About Leguś

What life with Leguś looks like

Leguś is a small young adult dog waiting at Funny Pets Czartki in Poland.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Leguś, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Leguś?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Funny Pets Czartki handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Leguś on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Leguś if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Funny Pets Czartki will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Leguś already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Leguś isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Funny Pets Czartki early rather than rehoming privately; they know Leguś and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
