ProfileAge: born around March 2026. Gender: female. neutered: noCharacter: very friendly, puppy-like playfulSize: still growing, likely to become medium-sizedIm Shelter since: May 2026Family: siblings RW 4, RW 7, RW 10, RM 25 & RM 33Hello there out there! I think now I’ll just tell you who I am.I’m Leilani. A small light brown puppy girl with white legs. My nose has a funny pink spot. Some say I look as if someone had very carefully painted me.Frankly, we used to be afraid of almost everything. The darkness. The noises. Being alone. When we were found without our mommy, I didn’t know what would happen. I just clung to my siblings tightly and hoped that everything would somehow get better. In the shelter, I’m slowly learning about the world. At first, everything was terribly scary. The many dogs, the barking, the strangers. But now I realize: some people really mean well by us.And you know what? I think deep down, I’m actually a cheerful little whirlwind. One who loves to play, snuggle, and run around. I just need someone to show me what the world has to offer.I wish for a home full of patience and love. People who understand that little puppies sometimes need to learn how wonderful life can be. And when I finally arrive, I’ll give you my whole heart.Who can I give my heart to? Interested? If you’re interested in Leilani, please fill out our Prospective Owner Form () or write us an email or a message on Facebook. Leilani is ready to travel and can go with the next transport to Germany. Our dogs travel legally with Traces. Traces refers to the database system that monitors the entire animal transport within the EU. The dogs travel neutered (if old enough), vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed, and have an EU passport. Additionally, for dogs over 12 months old, a rapid test for the following Mediterranean diseases is conducted before travel arrangements: Lyme disease, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichiosis, Dirofilariasis, and leishmaniasis. Tanja F. F. has taken the paternity for Leilani and ensures a full plate. Many thanks on behalf of the dogs!

SteckbriefAlter: ca. März 2026 geboren. Geschlecht: weiblich.

About Leilani

What life with Leilani looks like

Leilani is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Seelen für Seelchen e.V. in Alfter.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Leilani, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Leilani?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelen für Seelchen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Leilani on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Leilani if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelen für Seelchen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Leilani already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Leilani isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelen für Seelchen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Leilani and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
