In May 2022, four sisters - Mina, Mila, Mara, and Mona - were abandoned as young pups, discarded like rubbish and destined for a life in a kill shelter. But fate had a different plan for them, as they were whisked away to safety by our dedicated rescuer in Romania. Now around 3 years old and weighing around 33kg, Mara is the last one left looking for a loving UK home! Sweet and loyal, Mara has a heart of gold. She had a special bond with a disabled dog named Dexter, acting as his guardian and bringing joy to his days before he passed away. She now spends her days at the top of the shelter with a select group of dogs, lounging in the sun and snoozing the day away! Mara is confident with strangers so could live as an only dog or with a male canine companion!
