03-06-26 Lilac has come to us from a breeder and is a very sweet girl who is trying her hardest to be brave, but she is not quite confident enough to fully understand the world around her just yet. She can be a little touch-sensitive when being picked up and will let you know when she feels uncomfortable. Despite her worries, Lilac is desperately in need of love, patience, and understanding from someone willing to help her build confidence at her own pace. Lilac would benefit from a home with experience of ex-breeding dogs and will need an adult-only household that can provide the compassion and reassurance she deserves. Having never lived in a home before, she will need kind adopters who can gently teach her about house training, household routines, and walking on a lead. The outside world may feel overwhelming for Lilac initially, so spending time exploring a secure garden and enjoying gentle sniffing sessions would be a wonderful way to help her gain confidence before venturing further afield. She will need a patient and understanding home, as well as at least one kind and confident resident dog that she can look to for reassurance as she settles into family life. Lilac is a lovely older lady who deserves nothing more than comfort, happiness, and security in her golden years. With the right home, plenty of patience, and lots of love, she has every chance to blossom and enjoy the life she has always deserved. Lilac has arrived with a Grade 2 luxating patella that may improve with time as her muscles get stronger, but her adopters will need to be mindful of this as it will not be covered by insurance. She has also been treated for conjunctivitis. Lilac has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
