Lilith

European Shorthair · Female

Lilith - an old cat lady is looking for her haven &; Lilith is a beautiful, completely white EKH female cat, whose exact age we unfortunately do not know. However, it is certain: Lilith is already a very old lady and therefore one of our special rescue cats. She came to us at the shelter only recently as a found cat. The unfamiliar environment seems to be unsettling her at the moment. Lilith appears to be disoriented at times because she probably sees very poorly. For her, the world is not always easy to understand. Therefore, it is all the more important for Lilith to have a home that offers her security, peace, and fixed structures. Due to her probably severely impaired vision, she should live exclusively indoors. A quiet home where she does not have to constantly adjust to new situations would be ideal for her. Lilith wants to spend her twilight years as a single princess. Unfortunately, she does not get along with other cats and wants her humans all to herself. &; We are looking for a loving haven for Lilith, where it does not matter how young or playful a cat is, but how much love and security she still deserves. Maybe there are people who would like to give their heart to an old cat lady like Lilith. People who give her a warm place, patient affection, and the security of finally being home. Lilith does not need a big adventure anymore. She needs a home. A quiet place where she can spend her twilight years in peace and where she is loved and cared for despite her age and limitations. &; Anyone who wants to show an old furry friend once again how beautiful a home of their own can be could be the right person for Lilith. If you are serious about it, we would be happy to arrange an appointment for you to get to know her under the phone number .

About Lilith

What life with Lilith looks like

Lilith is a large adult european shorthair cat waiting at Wally-Bangert-Tierheim Lohr am Main in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lilith, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lilith?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Wally-Bangert-Tierheim Lohr am Main handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lilith on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lilith if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Wally-Bangert-Tierheim Lohr am Main will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lilith already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lilith isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Wally-Bangert-Tierheim Lohr am Main early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lilith and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
