Linda

Podenco · Female · Young · 3 years

Asiel Pepito: Entry date: July 20, 2026: Linda is looking for her golden basket. She’s a stunning Podenca with an elegant, almost floating gait. As soon as you see her move, you’ll understand why this breed garners so much admiration. But Linda isn’t just beautiful—she also has an incredibly sweet personality. She was brought to the shelter by her hunter because she’d become unmanageable... Linda is social toward both people and other dogs, and she visibly enjoys all the attention she receives. A scratch behind the ears, a cuddle, or going on an outing together makes her absolutely happy. Linda loves to connect with others and thrives being part of a family. She also does very well on the leash. She’s energetic and absolutely loves going for walks. She’s not the kind of dog who’s content with just a quick stroll around the church; instead, she enjoys more challenging hikes with plenty of sniffing opportunities. At the moment, Linda is receiving medication because she tested slightly positive for leishmaniasis—a condition that doesn’t have to stand in the way of adoption. For Linda, we’re looking for a warm home where she can receive the love and attention she so richly deserves. A place where she can enjoy long walks, soft baskets, and people who’ll welcome her with open arms. Are you the one who’ll give Linda a fresh start? Then a special friend is waiting for you!

Asiel Pepito: Input 20 juli 2026: Linda zoekt haar gouden mand.

About Linda

What life with Linda looks like

Linda is a young adult podenco dog waiting at description in AL Ridderkerk.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Linda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Linda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. description handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Linda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Linda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — description will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Linda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Linda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with description early rather than rehoming privately; they know Linda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
