Linus

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 5 months

Our charming little Linus is looking for his people! Thank you, dear godmother Sigrid He still doesn't have a name - but he does have a big wish: a family of his own that loves him forever. Together with his siblings, the little guy was rescued in Bosnia. Our little treasure is about 2 months old and will be a medium-sized male. He is playful, curious, and incredibly affectionate, typical of a puppy. He loves getting attention, wants to discover the world, and just wants to be close to his people. He also gets along wonderfully with other dogs and shows himself to be social and lovable. He is still waiting in Bosnia for his big chance... for people who show him how beautiful a dog's life can be. Who falls in love with our little treasure and gives him a home forever? If so, he can of course travel chipped and vaccinated to his new home. Until then, we are looking for loving people who would like to support our little boy with a unique sponsorship.

About Linus

What life with Linus looks like

Linus is a small puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Ankerhunde e.V. in Novi Grad.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇧🇦Adopting from Bosnia and Herzegovina

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Linus, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Linus?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ankerhunde e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Linus on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Linus if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ankerhunde e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Linus already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Linus isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ankerhunde e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Linus and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
