Hi, I’m Liquorice, a sweet but very shy little boy who is still learning that people can be trusted. I can be quite reserved when we first meet, and I’ll need a little time and patience to feel comfortable and show you my true personality. I’m slowly becoming more confident and would be very happy to have another confident and friendly cat in my new home to help show me the ropes and give me reassurance. I do enjoy being playful and exploring once I’m feeling comfortable, but I’m definitely a quieter and more cautious boy. I’ll need a family who understands that I won’t necessarily rush over for cuddles straight away and who is happy to let me settle in at my own pace. I’m looking for a calm, patient and understanding home where I can take my time getting used to my new surroundings. I may be quite shy for a while after arriving, but with patience, love and the right feline friend, I’m sure I’ll continue to blossom. I could live with another confident cat, and I may potentially be able to live with a dog, provided introductions are done very slowly and carefully. I could be a happy indoor-only boy, or have some safe outdoor access once I’m fully settled. I could also share my home with children, but they would need to be calm, gentle and understanding of my shy nature. I need people who will give me space when I need it and allow me to build trust in my own time.
