adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Livi has found a home! Her story: Knuddelmaus Livi is a cute little puppy with black-brown fur and expressive eyes that curiously look into the world. She is – typical puppy – playful, open, active, and wiggly. She is currently in a foster home with other dogs, where the little sweet mouse is also welcome to visit. When fully grown, Livi will be small to medium-sized – she is more of a delicate little lady. She shows friendliness and compatibility with other dogs, but compatibility with cats has not yet been tested. Livi is highly people-oriented and loves to snuggle with her people. She is very trainable and wants to be everywhere. But – as with all puppies – one should not be deceived by the sweet appearance: Livi brings not only cute paws but also a fair amount of chaos into the life. The visit to a positively working dog training class is particularly recommended, where Livi can learn the dog ABC. Puberty will also not pass by Livi unnoticed – she will test boundaries, loudly express her opinion, and sometimes act as if she has never heard of "sit," "stay," or "no." During this phase, she needs loving consequences, calmness, and people who understand and guide her development with patience and forgiveness. Livi is clever and curious – a good combination to train her in a meaningful and species-appropriate way later. Whether small games in the garden, joint training, or perhaps even a dog sport like mantrailing or hoop jumping: as long as she can participate and get mental and physical stimulation. Livi is looking for a home that is ready for a mix of puppy chaos, cuddle moments, learning moments, and great joy. Whoever shows her how beautiful the world can be gets a faithful companion for life. Livi is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and brings an EU pet passport with her and can be adopted after a positive Wer schenkt ihr ein liebevolles Für-Immer-Zuhause? Vielen Dank an Vanessa! Vielen Dank an Vanessa! Du hast Livi ihren Namen geschenkt. Stand: 03.05.2025

About Livi

What life with Livi looks like

Livi is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Livi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Livi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Livi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Livi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Livi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Livi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Livi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
