Loly

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 4 months

Loly, Tom, and Otis are three puppy siblings who were given to the State animal shelter Bucharest at the tender age of 8 weeks. Not wanted and unnecessary, like countless other puppies among the total of 2,500 dogs here. We can try to ease their suffering a little, to give one or more of these wonderful and unique creatures a name and a face. We can try to find a home for them. So also for the little Loly and her brothers. And here comes Loly’s big entrance: Good day, dear human, I am Loly and have lived in this pen in a large hall since I can remember. It’s tight, because there are still many others with me in this pen. I start no fights. Never. My brothers Otis and Tom don’t either. We are really very well-behaved. A day here is like any other. Nothing happens. Just barking and whining. We are all sad. But once we were taken out into the open and photos were taken of us. You can look at them. There are also videos. There were people who stroked us and then said we were very friendly, just a little afraid, because everything outside was so new and foreign to us. The leash was also strange. I didn’t know what was expected of me. Then someone said how beautiful we three were and how sad it would be if we didn’t find a home. I wanted to ask what a “home” is, but we had to go back to the pen again. So, dear human, if you have just read my letter, if you are the one who wants to show me what a “home” means, if you have a little patience and give me some time to settle in – then please, please – call my mediator or write to her. She is looking forward to it. And I even more! Dear animal friend, dear animal friend, Loly has said everything that needed to be said. She still doesn’t know what to expect outside. She has no grass under her paws, has never seen a sunbeam, has never heard birds chirping… What a gift to be able to show her all of this. Are you ready? Then follow Loly’s call and start a shared future… You will be given friendly and competent advice and support. Good luck, my heart, little Loly. © 2006-2024 by animal welfare association Europa e.V. © 2006-2024 by Tierschutzverein Europa e.V. - All rights reserved

About Loly

What life with Loly looks like

Loly is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Europa in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Loly, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Loly?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Europa handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Loly on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Loly if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Europa will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Loly already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Loly isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Europa early rather than rehoming privately; they know Loly and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
