adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Lordi can travel directly to his final home! His story: The little Lordi is ready for his first step into a wonderful new life! At just 4 months old, full of joy and curiosity – but their world is small and dreary. No soft dog bed, no nature walks, no familiar hand that gives them security. After Lordi and his siblings Selma, Gemma, Ajoy, Philippa, Marielle, Romy, Fina, Duano, and Ori were simply abandoned with their mother, they live in a Romanian shelter, a place that unfortunately offers them neither warmth nor a future perspective. But this must not be their destiny! These 10 little furballs have so much love to give and already show that they are wonderful mini-personalities. Each of them brings their own little character – but all of them are approachable, lively, and simply irresistibly cute and friendly. They love to play, are easily picked up, and munch happily from your hand, soaking up every bit of attention. With other dogs, they are very social, but they have not yet met any cats. The black-and-white Lordi is already a true beauty, sure to draw many admiring glances. We assume he will be medium-sized later, weighing around 20–25 kg. His mother is a Labrador mix, which has given him excellent genes. Labradors are known for their cheerful, affectionate nature and high adaptability – they are true family dogs who like to work closely with their people. What he inherits from his father remains a surprise and makes mixed breeds like Lordi so special! For our Lordi, we are looking for people who are aware of the responsibility of a puppy and are ready to guide him through his growth with time, patience, and understanding. You should teach him everything he needs for his life and integrate him into your everyday life. The upcoming puberty also needs to be tackled together. Racially speaking, Lordi fits perfectly for active people who value him as a loyal and beloved part of their family and can give him an adventurous life by their side. He will need both physical and mental challenges – dog sports could be a great way to offer him additional variety and fun. But quiet moments must not be lacking either, because cuddles are his biggest reward. He is still not neutered due to its age. Who falls in love with the adorable Lordi and gives him a forever home? A loving foster home would also be a big step in the right direction for him! Thank you, Nathalie, for taking on his namesship. As of 09.04. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Stand: 09.04.2025

About Lordi

What life with Lordi looks like

Lordi is a very small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lordi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lordi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lordi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lordi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lordi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lordi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lordi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
