🐾 Meet Lottie – Looking for Her Forever Home 🐾 Meet gorgeous Lottie, our beautiful 7-year-old Beagle, who has come such a long way since arriving with us. ❤️ Lottie has learned to trust people again, and she absolutely adores the volunteers. Every time she sees us, she is ready with plenty of love, affection and those lovely Beagle cuddles. 🥰 She loves getting out for walks and exploring the world, especially when she can head off on an adventure with the team. But after her walk, Lottie is equally happy curling up in her bed — or preferably on the sofa — for a well-earned snooze, particularly if she has someone beside her to snuggle up to. ❤️ Being a Beagle, Lottie is naturally curious, inquisitive and full of character. She loves companionship, so a home with another friendly dog could be wonderful for her. However, we also think Lottie would be perfectly happy being the centre of attention and soaking up all the love from her forever family. Lottie is: 🐾 7 years old ❤️ Loving, friendly and affectionate 🐶 Enjoys the company of other dogs 🚶‍♀️ Loves walks and exploring 🛋️ Loves nothing more than a cosy sofa and a cuddle 🥰 A loyal companion with so much love to give After everything Lottie has been through, she deserves a family of her own — somewhere she can continue to enjoy life, be spoiled rotten and finally know what it means to be truly loved. We would absolutely love to see this special girl find her people. If you think Lottie could be your perfect companion, please get in touch. ❤️🐾

About Lottie

What life with Lottie looks like

Lottie is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Almost Home Animal Rescue NI in Belfast.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇮🇪Adopting from Ireland

Irish shelters require a home check (often phone or video) and an adoption contract. Animals are vaccinated, chipped, and registered. Cross-border placements to mainland Europe require the rabies titer test (TRACES system).

Frequently asked

Adopting Lottie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lottie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Almost Home Animal Rescue NI handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lottie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lottie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Almost Home Animal Rescue NI will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lottie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lottie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Almost Home Animal Rescue NI early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lottie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
