Lucas 27-05-2024 Hi, I'm Lucas! I'm a big West Pointer of over 30 kilograms. I think I'm related to a Rhodesian Ridgeback. I'm also much bigger than the other West Pointers here! I'm quite tough and I want other male dogs to know that. That's why Tamara thinks I should be with the females and that's what I prefer myself. I live nicely with my girlfriend Pantera in the brand new container garden at the front of the property and guard the front yard at night when the house dogs are sleeping in Tamara's bedroom. Together we're strong. I can run very fast and I love doing it over the large plain! I like playing with Pantera, and with people too, it's super fun! As long as Tamara stays and you don't smell like a vet. What I can do very quickly is eat, because eating is super delicious! Usually I finish my food the fastest. I can walk very well on a leash. For a kind person I do my best and here at Pippi's shelter they are all kind to me. I am really well cared for here. Family is the most important thing for me! Oh yeah, I also wanted to tell you that I find cars really weird. Those things on wheels without a head and then that noise! Rolling things seem strange to me in general. If someone throws a ball (that's apparently what it's called), I find that very interesting. And those coconuts roll too! Even more fun is to sniff everything and run around as fast as possible through the Paddock Paradise. Since I've been living here I have a loyal supporter from a distance to help Tamara with the monthly financial costs. Soon I have to go to the vet clinic in the morning for a dental cleaning and last month I got my annual vaccination. Every month we all get preventive tablets to protect us against unwanted parasites. Well, I'll go sniffing again! See you soon! Lucas was found by two kind elderly ladies while he was wandering the streets. Concerned about his safety and that of the other dogs in their home, they took him in temporarily, along with their existing six other dogs. Despite their good intentions, Lucas did not fit well with the other dogs, so he was temporarily taken in the front yard. The ladies did their best to find Lucas' owner, by placing advertisements in the newspaper, distributing flyers and calling local animal shelters and vets. Lucas 27-05-2024 Hoi, ik ben Lucas! Ik ben een grote Westpointer van ruim 30 kilo. Ik vermoed dat ik familie ben van een Rhodesian Ridgeback. Ik ben ook veel groter dan de rest van de Westpointers hier! Ik ben best wel stoer en ik wil ook dat andere mannetjes honden dat weten. Daarom vindt Tamara dat ik lekker bij de dames mag zijn en dat heb ik zelf ook het liefst. Ik woon gezellig met mijn vriendin Pantera in de splinternieuwe container tuin vooraan op het terrein en bewaak s nachts het voorterrein als de huishonden bij Tamara in de slaapkamer slapen. Samen sterk. Ik kan erg hard rennen en dat doe ik super graag over de grote vlakte! Ik hou er van om te spelen met Pantera, met mensen is ook hartstikke leuk! Mits Tamara erbij blijft en je niet ruikt naar dierenarts Wat ik ook heel snel kan is eten, want eten is super lekker! Meestal heb ik mijn eten als allersnelste op. Ik kan heel goed aan de riem lopen. Voor een lief mens doe ik super goed mijn best en hier op Pippi s Opvang zijn ze allemaal lief voor me. Ik word hier echt heel goed verzorgd. Familie is voor mij het allerbelangrijkste! Oh ja, ik wilde jullie ook nog vertellen dat ik auto s heel gek vind. Die dingen op wielen zonder kop en dan dat lawaai! Rollende dingen vind ik sowieso raar. Als iemand een bal (zo heet dat blijkbaar) naar mij gooit, vind ik dat heel interessant. En die kokosnoten rollen ook! Nog veel leuker is om lekker alles te besnuffelen en rond te rennen op mijn alle hardst door het Paddock Paradise. Sinds ik hier woon heb ik een trouw Baasje op Afstand om Tamara te helpen met de maandelijkse financi le kosten. Binnenkort moet ik een ochtend naar de dierenarts praktijk voor een gebitsreiniging en heb vorige maand mijn jaarlijkse vaccinatie gekregen. Maandelijks krijgen wij allemaal preventie tabletten om ons te beschermen tegen ongewenste parasieten. Zo, ik ga weer snuffelen! Tot gauw! April 2023 Wat geweldig dat Lucas de kans kreeg om voor de camera te schitteren! En inderdaad, hij ziet er absoluut onweerstaanbaar uit op de foto's. Met zijn blije, vrolijke en actieve karakter lijkt Lucas de perfecte metgezel te zijn voor iemand die op zoek is naar een trouwe viervoeter. Samen met zijn vriendinnetje Pantera wacht Lucas geduldig op zijn kans om een liefdevol thuis te vinden. Als je een gouden mand hebt klaarstaan voor deze knappe jongen, aarzel dan niet om contact met ons op te nemen. Met zijn opgewekte persoonlijkheid en liefdevolle aard zou Lucas een geweldige aanvulling zijn op elk gezin. Laten we samen zorgen dat Lucas de warmte en liefde krijgt die hij verdient. Help ons om hem zijn langverwachte geluk te geven! Lucas werd gevonden door twee vriendelijke oudere dames terwijl hij rondzwierf op straat. Bezorgd om zijn veiligheid en die van de andere honden in hun huis, namen ze hem tijdelijk onder hun hoede, naast hun al bestaande gezelschap van zes andere hondjes. Ondanks hun goede bedoelingen, bleek Lucas niet goed te passen bij de andere honden, dus werd hij voorlopig in de voortuin opgevangen. De dames deden hun uiterste best om Lucas' eigenaar te vinden, door advertenties in de krant te plaatsen, flyers te verspreiden en te bellen naar lokale dierenasiels en dierenartsen. Helaas leverde al hun inspanning geen spoor op van Lucas' oorspronkelijke eigenaar. Toen
