LUCY 3401

Female · Young · 2 years

LUCY 3401 - in her eyes, fear still lingers. Perhaps with you, she will begin to discover safety. Lucy's gaze reveals how difficult it is for her to feel secure around people. For her, human proximity is associated with danger, and painful past experiences have left their mark. We don't know her entire story, but we see the fear she carries today and know she needs more than a place to be protected. Lucy arrived on May 8, 2024, from the Hanu lui Pală area, Dâmbovița. In the shelter, she receives food, water, care, and safety. These are essential things that we strive to provide her every day. But for a dog as fearful as Lucy, a constant relationship with a person who understands her can be enormously important. How do you help a soul like this? The beginning may mean not asking for anything. Offer her a quiet place, a predictable routine, and the possibility of maintaining distance. Be present without invading, observe signs of discomfort, and let the approach build gradually. For Lucy, the feeling that she can choose and that her limits are respected is more important than the rush to receive a caress. In the years of our association's activity, we have known thousands of dogs. Among them were deeply frightened dogs, who seemed far from family life. We had the joy of seeing them adopted by suitable people and, over time, discovering them more peaceful, more confident, and capable of building special bonds with their families. These stories give us hope for Lucy. However, each dog has its own path. We cannot promise when she will accept closeness or how much she will change. We can look for a person who will not measure her chances by how quickly she lets herself be touched. A person with experience in the behavior of very fearful dogs, willing to offer her daily support and collaborate with a specialist for an accommodation suitable to her needs.

Fiecare câine are însă propriul drum.

About LUCY 3401

What life with LUCY 3401 looks like

LUCY 3401 is a medium-sized young adult dog waiting at No Limit Pets in Romania.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇷🇴Adopting from Romania

Romanian rescues handle the highest volume of cross-border adoptions in the EU. Animals are quarantined and fully vetted before transport. Reputable rescues maintain detailed health records and post-adoption follow-up.

Frequently asked

Adopting LUCY 3401, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about LUCY 3401?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. No Limit Pets handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw LUCY 3401 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt LUCY 3401 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — No Limit Pets will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is LUCY 3401 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if LUCY 3401 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with No Limit Pets early rather than rehoming privately; they know LUCY 3401 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (RO). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
