Lucy is a female dog of approximately 1.5 years old (April 2026) and is currently staying with rescuer Matild, where she is safely sheltered and cared for. She was found by the son of the rescuer and a friend outside the city, in a remote area without any buildings. There, she was tied to a tree, completely alone. When she was found, she was severely undernourished and showed clear signs of abuse on her small body. In addition, she had a skin problem, which required extra care. Despite her difficult start, Lucy has remained an incredibly brave and gentle dog. Her skin has fully recovered, and she is showing that she is gradually regaining trust in people. In April 2026, our volunteers went to Romania where they met Lucy personally. Lucy was friendly and enthusiastic. Additionally, she can already walk well on a leash. Furthermore, she weighs about 10-12 kg and is around 40 cm tall, making her a small to medium-sized dog. In addition, she is spayed. Although her past has been difficult, she is cautiously looking forward to a safe and loving future. Lucy is een teefje van ongeveer 1,5 jaar oud (april 2026) en verblijft momenteel bij rescuer Matild, waar zij veilig wordt opgevangen en verzorgd. Zij werd door de zoon van de rescuer en een vriend aangetroffen buiten de stad, in een afgelegen gebied zonder bebouwing. Daar was ze vastgebonden aan een boom, volledig alleen. Toen ze werd gevonden, was ze ernstig ondervoed en vertoonde ze duidelijke tekenen van mishandeling op haar kleine lichaam. Bovendien had ze een huidprobleem, waardoor ze extra zorg nodig had. Ondanks haar zware start is Lucy een ongelooflijk dapper en zacht hondje gebleven. Inmiddels is haar huid volledig hersteld en laat ze zien dat ze stap voor stap weer vertrouwen krijgt in mensen. In april 2026 gingen onze vrijwilligers naar Roemenië waar zij Lucy persoonlijk hebben ontmoet. Lucy was vriendelijk en enthousiast. Daarnaast kan ze al goed mee lopen aan de lijn. Verder weegt ze ongeveer 10–12 kg en is ze zo’n 40 cm hoog, waardoor ze een klein tot middelgroot formaat heeft. Daarnaast is ze gesteriliseerd. Hoewel haar verleden heftig is geweest, kijkt ze voorzichtig vooruit naar een veilige en liefdevolle toekomst. Kortom, Lucy is klaar voor een warm thuis waar ze eindelijk mag ervaren wat echte zorg en geborgenheid betekent 💛. Mag dat bij jou?
