Adopt LUNA

Bull Terrier · Female · Senior · 10 years

VERMEDIATION - possible only to - Austria, Switzerland, Holland, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein and other countries where the entry of such a dog is allowed! LUNA - loving and cuddly - female Bullterrier-Mix, approx. 10.5 years old, black and white, born in 2015. SH 44 cm, 26 kg, vaccinated, microchipped, neutered. - Waiting in Spain! - Luna had it really tough in the past, as she was always tied on a short chain and couldn't move or go for walks. She had stale water to drink and very little food. Her previous owner mistreated her until neighbors complained and she was rescued, only to be put down where a kind woman helped her escape. For two years, Luna has been at our shelter and still hasn't found a family that would take her in as a family member and show her the beautiful sides of life. Luna is a loving female dog who likes to sleep in the house, is very cuddly, doesn't bark or break things, and just wants to be with people. She loves children, has no problems with male dogs, and with female dogs that are not dominant and larger, as she was viciously attacked by them during her time in the killing. She doesn't particularly like cats but doesn't harm them; she just pays them very close attention. We sincerely wish for someone to give Luna a loving home where she can stay until the end of her days - as she never experienced the warmth of a home in her 7 years. LUNA - liebevoll & verschmust - Hündin Bullterrier-Mix, ca. 10,5 J., schwarz-weiß, geb. 2015. SH 44 cm, 26 kg, geimpft, gechippt, kastriert. - Wartet in Spanien ! About LUNA

What life with LUNA looks like

LUNA is a senior bull terrier dog waiting at Tier-Not-Hilfe in Germany.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting LUNA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about LUNA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tier-Not-Hilfe handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw LUNA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt LUNA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tier-Not-Hilfe will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is LUNA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if LUNA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tier-Not-Hilfe early rather than rehoming privately; they know LUNA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
