Adopt Lychee

Female · Puppy · 4 months

The sweet Lychee wandered alone around the streets of Hungary. No one missed her, and no one was searching for her. Now, the little mouse eagerly waits at the animal shelter for her own loving family. Lychee is the perfect example that age is just a number! She is a wonderful blend of life experience, a mature female dog, and the carefree charm of a puppy. She is attentive, curious, and incredibly happy for her age. With her playful nature, she enchants everyone instantly! She is an incredibly loving, weathered, and direct dog. Lychee loves cuddles, thanking with a small, grateful tail wag or by snuggling up. She is very clingy but still has a little mischief in her heart: she looks forward to playing with her fellow animals and runs with the same enthusiasm as her younger companions. She walks well on a leash and gets along well with other dogs. During a cat test, she showed a great interest in the whiskers. This is not particularly surprising for a hunting terrier female dog. Therefore, there should be no cats or other small pets in her new family. Who would like to give the little older lady a beautiful shared life, snuggling on the couch with her and going for nice walks in the greenery? Lychee will thank her with her love and loyalty! The sweet Lychee is, of course, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and has been examined by a veterinarian. She has an EU pet passport and will be ready to travel by June 27, 2026. An introduction to a new home in Berlin or the Stuttgart area is possible! Lychee is a hunting terrier female dog, neutered. Age: January 1, 2016, or March 1, 2020? Shoulder height: approximately 30-35 cm.

Kurzinfo Name Lychee Rasse Geschlecht Hündin kastriert Alter 01.01.2016, 01.03.2020? About Lychee

What life with Lychee looks like

Lychee is a puppy/kitten dog waiting at animals care - Tierschutz ohne Grenzen in Ketzin.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lychee, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lychee?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. animals care - Tierschutz ohne Grenzen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lychee on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lychee if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — animals care - Tierschutz ohne Grenzen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lychee already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lychee isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with animals care - Tierschutz ohne Grenzen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lychee and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
