Macarena came to the shelter with six other Galgos and another dog from a different shelter. From there, Minerva regularly takes in Galgos to make them visible and find them a good home if possible. Most of the dogs come from hunters, were found or surrendered. This is also the case with the wonderful Macarena. We had the opportunity to meet this female dog at the shelter. She shows no signs of insecurity or fear. However, one must be aware that Macarena does not know life in a family and everything will be new to her at first. Her open, curious and carefree nature will certainly help her. Macarena has a large scar on her right flank. We cannot say what caused the wound or how it happened, but it seems not to bother her. It's just a cosmetic flaw. For Macarena, a fellow animal, a securely fenced run and people who like to walk would be a real jackpot. Born: 01.04.2023, size approx. 62 cm, weight approx. 21 kg, character: open, very friendly and people-oriented, compatible with other animals, at the animal shelter since April 2026. Macarena travels microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, tested for all Mediterranean diseases, and a blood test of the organ values is also created before travel arrangements. Macarena will be rehomed with a safety harness, a GPS is mandatory. Macarena kam zusammen mit 6 weiteren Galgos auch einem anderen Shelter. Von dort nimmt Minerva immer wieder Galgos auf, um sie sichtbar zu machen und im besten Fall ein schönes Zuhause für sie zu finden. Die meisten Hunde stammen vom Jäger, wurden gefunden oder abgegeben. So auch die wundervolle Macarena. Verträglich mit Artgenossen und absolut menschenfreundlich haben wir die Hündin vor Ort kennenlernen dürfen. Sie zeigt im Shelter keinerlei Unsicherheiten oder Ängste. Dennoch muss man sich bewusst sein, dass Macarena kein Leben in einer Familie kennt und dies erstmal alles fremd sein wird. Ihre offene, neugierige und unbekümmerte Art wird ihr dabei sicher sehr behilflich sein. Macarena hat an der rechten Flanke eine große Narbe. Was das für eine Wunde war und wodurch sie entstanden ist, können wir nicht sagen. Es scheint ihr aber keine Probleme zu bereiten. Ein Schönheitsfehler, mehr nicht. Für Macarena wäre ein Artgenosse, ein sicher eingezäunter Freilauf und Menschen, die gerne spazieren gehen, ganz sicher ein 6er im Lotto.
