The Care for Dogs -tarha team has been doing significant sterilization work in the nearby, very poor Budila area for several years. In areas like Budila, where people are also poor and live in harsh conditions, there are especially many dogs in yards and roaming free, and so puppies are constantly being born. The tarha workers regularly visit the area to pick up dogs for sterilization and return them to their homes after the operation. Almost every time they visit, they are asked not to return the dog being picked up for sterilization or for the tarha workers to take along a dog that is roaming the area without an owner. Although often dogs cannot be taken when the tarha is full, occasionally someone lucky gets in. This happened in June 2026, when the tarha workers noticed a dog again rummaging through trash on the streets. They had seen him many times before. The dog was thin and hungry, and a local man said the dog wandered the village looking for food. So Madde, the dog, was taken to the tarha, where he is now waiting for his own home. Madde is an extremely happy and friendly person. Although being taken to a small cage at the tarha must have been strange and frightening, he has been eager to get to know all the people from the start. He loves attention and scratches and is always ready to go on a leash walk. He seems very balanced and energetic in tarha conditions. Madde shares his cage with another energetic female and the two get along well. Probably he is used to many things while living on the streets and would suit many different homes. As a young and energetic dog, he will need enough things to do and exercise at home.

Care for Dogs -tarhan tiimi on jo muutaman vuoden tehnyt läheisellä, erittäin köyhällä Budilan alueella merkittävää sterilointityötä. Juuri Budilan kaltaisilla alueilla, missä ihmisetkin ovat köyhiä ja elävät karuissa oloissa, on erityisen paljon koiria pihoilla ja vapaana ja niinpä myös pentuja syntyy jatkuvasti. Tarhan työntekijät käyvät säännöllisesti hakemassa alueen koiria steriloitaviksi ja palauttavat ne sitten koteihinsa operaation jälkeen. Lähes jokaisella vierailulla heiltä pyydetään, ettei steriloitavaksi haettua koiraa palautettaisi tai että tarhan työntekijät voisivat ottaa mukaansa jonkun koiran, joka juoksentelee alueella omistamattomana. Vaikka usein koiria ei voida ottaa tarhan ollessa täynnä, pääsee aina välillä joku onnekas mukaan. Näin kävi kesäkuussa 2026, kun tarhan työntekijät huomasivat jälleen kerran kaduilla roskia tonkivan koiran. He olivat nähneet hänet jo usein ennenkin. Koira oli laiha ja nälkäinen ja paikallinen mies kertoi, että koira vaelsi kylässä etsimässä ruokaa. Niinpä Maddeksi nimetty koira pääsi tarhalle, missä hän nyt odottelee omaa kotiaan. Madde on äärimmäisen iloinen ja ystävällinen persoona. Vaikka päätyminen tarhalle pieneen häkkiin on varmasti ollut outoa ja pelottavaa, on hän alusta asti halunnut tutustua kaikkiin ihmisiin. Hän rakastaa huomiota ja rapsutuksia ja on aina valmis lähtemään hihnalenkille. Hän vaikuttaakin tarhaoloissa hyvin tasapainoiselta ja reippaalta. Madde jakaa häkkinsä toisen energisen nartun kanssa ja kaksikko tulee hienosti toimeen keskenään. Todennäköisesti hän on kaduilla eläessään tottunut moniin asioihin ja hän sopisikin varmasti monenlaiseen kotiin. Nuorena ja energisenä koirana hän tulee kotona tarvitsemaan tarpeeksi tekemistä ja liikuntaa.
