Adopt Madonna & Emma … möchten endlich ankommen

British Shorthair · Female · Young · 2 years

Name of the Animal: Madonna Emma Stock Number: 199_S_24 203_S_24 Reason for Admission: official security assurance Admitted to the shelter since: 19.11.2024 Breed: BKH-Mix Gender: female, neutered female, neutered Color/Coat Length: smoke Date of Birth: ca. 01.01.2020 ca. 01.01.2024 shoulder height/Gewicht: Find location/Reason for surrender: official security assurance Animal Description: apartment with secured balcony March 2026 Madonna and Emma have been waiting more than a year now for their home. They are (along with Jeanette) the last cats from the large security operation in November 2024. They have already seen many fellow residents come and go, and now they just want to arrive on their own. Both are distant and open, meaning they would like to be familiar with their surroundings and also – especially in the outdoor area – would like to come to us sometimes, if the fence is still the last safety element, but they have not yet managed to get through to direct contact. We think that the last step will not take long in a quiet and relaxed home. Emma on the left, Madonna on the right Madonna & Emma are a well-matched and familiar team, and they are looking for a home together. All the cats from this security operation were very shy and also very loving, and we have received feedback from all their new homes that they have opened up very quickly. It will take a bit of empathy and finesse, but also for Madonna and Emma, this path is not so far. Even though both spend a lot of time and enjoy the outdoor area, we assume that a cat-friendly, fenced balcony as a "small freedom" will be sufficient for them. Spontaneous visits are unfortunately not possible. For inquiries about Madonna & Emma, the mediators are available for telephone consultations Monday through Friday from 14 – 17 hours and Saturday from 13 – 16 hours.

About Madonna & Emma … möchten endlich ankommen

What life with Madonna & Emma … möchten endlich ankommen looks like

Madonna & Emma … möchten endlich ankommen is a large young adult british shorthair cat waiting at Tierheim Moers in Moers.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

Frequently asked

Adopting Madonna & Emma … möchten endlich ankommen, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Madonna & Emma … möchten endlich ankommen?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Moers handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Madonna & Emma … möchten endlich ankommen on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Madonna & Emma … möchten endlich ankommen if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Moers will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Madonna & Emma … möchten endlich ankommen already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Madonna & Emma … möchten endlich ankommen isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Moers early rather than rehoming privately; they know Madonna & Emma … möchten endlich ankommen and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
