Name of the Animal:Cruella Stock Number:44_F25 Reason for Admission:Found Animal Admitted to the animal shelter since:17.02.2025 Breed:EKH Gender:female Color/Coat:striped Date of Birth:01.01.2020 Shoulder height/Weight: Found location/Reason for surrender:Moers Animal Description:Free roam October 2025 For a long time, Cruella was almost invisible… she had retreated into the deepest corners of her shelter and had rejected contact. She has since moved past that and shown a great deal of courage. Now she moves much more confidently and freely in her cat room, and it’s okay for us to see her do so. She accepts our presence quite calmly and even licks the comb paste off our fingers. This is a really great development for such a shy cat, and we are sure that Cruella will continue to approach us – at her own pace. April 2025: Cruella was not missed and is now searching for a new home. Even though the shy cat belonged to a person, it seems she does not really know how to make contact with a person. A warm retreat and a full bowl are currently enough for her to interact with a person. A rural farm or riding stable would suit Cruella well after an appropriate adjustment period, as she is well cared for there and can regulate her contact with people according to her wishes. Often, it is exactly this form of freedom that allows such shy cats to eventually seek direct contact with a person. Spontaneous visits are unfortunately not possible. For inquiries about Cruella, the mediating colleagues are available for telephone consultations Monday through Friday from 14 – 17 hours and on Saturday from 13 – 16 hours. This cat needs outdoor access.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cruella … braucht ein Rückzugsplätzchen, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cruella … braucht ein Rückzugsplätzchen?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Moers handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cruella … braucht ein Rückzugsplätzchen on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cruella … braucht ein Rückzugsplätzchen if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Moers will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cruella … braucht ein Rückzugsplätzchen already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cruella … braucht ein Rückzugsplätzchen isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Moers early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cruella … braucht ein Rückzugsplätzchen and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
