Magma

Bengal · Male · Adult · 7 years

Hello fine friends, I am the Marvelous Magma! I was bought into branch care with another Bengal, due to a change in my owners circumstances. I am a little nervous of people but will accept strokes, I just make a lot of grumbling noises about it, but don't let that put you off, I am a gentle boy who just has a lot to say about everything! I would benefit from an owner who has had Bengals before, as I have a lot of energy and personality that first time Bengal owners may find intimidating. I have lived with other cats, I was originally living with another Bengal but I was bullied a bit by her and so have been separated from her now. So I may be best as a solo cat, as I deserve all your attention, but please be slow and have patience with me to come around to it! I haven't lived with dogs or young children, but don't feel I would be a fan of either. Once I am settled I will need access to the outdoors as I have a lot of energy to burn off! I am vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, negative FIV/FeLV, up to date with flea & worming. I do have a grade 1 heart murmur, but it is not there all the time, so could be stress related. I do not need medication for this currently, but my new owners will need to have my new vets keep an eye on this. Otherwise the vets have given me a clean bill of health. If you have space in your hearts and home for a opinionated bengal then please fill out an enquiry form!

About Magma

What life with Magma looks like

Magma is an adult bengal cat waiting at RSPCA Norwich in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Magma, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Magma?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Norwich handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Magma on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Magma if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — RSPCA Norwich will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Magma already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Magma isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Norwich early rather than rehoming privately; they know Magma and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
