adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Mala can stay forever in your foster home! Her story: Mala, the mother of Fawkes, Ramon, Ivy, Feli, Lui, and Sylvi, was recently rescued from the streets of Romania with her puppies by our animal welfare worker Dorel and brought to the Shelter Busag. She is a gentle female dog who can be a bit shy at first but quickly adapts to people. Mala has beautiful, light brown fur and a striking white chest. Additionally, she has a nice compact size. At around 2-3 years old, Mala is still a young dog but exudes a very calm and balanced demeanor. She is a female dog who would fit very well into a quiet home where she can settle in and gain confidence. Her new family should bring patience, as Mala is still getting to know life in a home. But with lots of love and understanding, Mala will surely become a loyal and wonderful companion. Mala still doesn't know basic commands and needs to learn how to walk on a leash, be house-trained, and enjoy life in a household. Her new family should be ready to guide her with gentle consistency in these areas. A visit to a dog training class could help her build confidence and continue to develop. Mala has the potential to become a wonderful companion—whether for quiet walks, relaxed cuddle sessions, or as a faithful friend for the whole family. We are looking for a home for Mala where she finally receives the love and attention she deserves. Do you want to offer Mala a nice home? Then contact us. Mala travels neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and flea-treated. She is named in honor of Julian M., who gave her the beautiful name and thus a sense of identity. As of: 23.03.

Stand: 23.03.2025

About Mala

What life with Mala looks like

Mala is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mala, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mala?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mala on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mala if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mala already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mala isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mala and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
