Mango is looking for a calm home where he can just be himself This handsome grey-and-white tomcat is Mango, born around 12 December 2024. He is staying with a foster family, where he shows himself to be a sweet, affectionate and playful young cat. He enjoys seeking out contact himself, gives head bumps and likes to cuddle up with you. Mango has FHS (feline hyperesthesia syndrome). Because of this, he can react oversensitively to stimuli. He receives medication for this, which he will probably need for life. Fortunately, he takes it easily when it's hidden in something tasty. For Mango we are looking for a calm, predictable household without children or other cats. We suspect that other cats are an important source of stress for him. An apartment can work well; a safely enclosed balcony or a fenced garden is a welcome bonus. Mango enjoys company, but a lot of petting or long stroking sessions can become too much for him. When he is stressed he can become restless and chase his own tail. Short moments of petting and plenty of rest therefore suit him better. He is looking for someone who wants to learn to recognise his signals and lets him indicate for himself when he wants contact. Mango zoekt een rustig thuis waar hij zichzelf mag zijn Deze knappe grijs-witte kater is Mango, geboren rond 12 december 2024. Hij verblijft bij een pleeggezin, waar hij zich laat zien als een lieve, aanhankelijke en speelse jonge kat. Hij zoekt graag zelf contact, geeft kopjes en komt gezellig bij je liggen. Mango heeft FHS (feline hyperesthesiesyndroom). Daardoor kan hij overgevoelig reageren op prikkels. Hij krijgt hiervoor medicatie, die hij waarschijnlijk levenslang nodig zal hebben. Gelukkig neemt hij die gemakkelijk met iets lekkers in. Voor Mango zoeken we een rustig, voorspelbaar huishouden zonder kinderen of andere katten. We vermoeden dat andere katten een belangrijke bron van spanning voor hem zijn. Een appartement kan prima passen; een veilig afgezet balkon of een afgesloten tuin is mooi meegenomen. Mango houdt van gezelschap, maar veel of lang aaien kan hem te veel worden. Bij spanning kan hij onrustig worden en achter zijn eigen staart aan gaan.
