Manni

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 5 months

adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Manni has found his own home! His story: Manni has settled well in his foster home in Germany. Manni is a playful puppy, about five months old, on the way to puberty, with a mischievous streak. He is eager to learn and can already follow commands like 'sit' and 'stay'. The indoor potty training in his foster home has quickly sunk in for Manni. Manni fits well into a home with another dog. He lives with two male dogs in the foster home, with whom he gets along well and likes to model himself after. Additionally, he knows horses and cats. Initially, Manni is a bit reserved around strangers. But after a short time, he warms up and opens his heart. Manni is described as a charming, lively youngster who has already settled in well in the foster home and found his spot. We wish him a family that enjoys spending time with their foster child and offers opportunities for his learning eagerness and love of movement without overloading him. And when the puppy has just been taught a good basic knowledge, accepts the leash, doesn't chew the car seats, and greets visitors politely, puberty is knocking at the door – and 'Zack': back to square one and everything forgotten. Don't get frustrated – it passes. Get help from good dog trainers or go to dog training classes that support a positive approach and turn you into the best dog-human team in the world. If you see the spark in Manni's little button eyes, is the spark between you two? Do you want to be there for Manni's entire life and make him a beloved family member? Manni is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. He was named Mannis by our patron Thomas, and we thank him for the name and the identity it gave to Manni. As of: 16.03.

Stand: 16.03.2025

About Manni

What life with Manni looks like

Manni is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Manni, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Manni?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Manni on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Manni if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Manni already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Manni isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Manni and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
