Ilza had him neutered in the fall and has been taking care of him every day since then. Over time, Manolito gained more trust, became more outgoing, and eventually even began to accompany Ilza on her walks—following her even across the street. It was clear by then that life outdoors was too dangerous for him. Therefore, Ilza took the beloved tomcat to safety. With Ilza, Manolito shows a calm, gentle, and cuddly side. He loves cuddles, seeks the company of his trusted people, and is affectionate and relaxed. Considering how cautious and fearful he was on the streets at first, it is especially lovely to see how much he has blossomed. One can clearly see how happy he is no longer to have to live on the streets. He also gets along well with other cats and meets them in a social and uncomplicated manner. He is truly a gem who just wants to belong and is now ready to enjoy his life in safety and security. All that Manolito really needs to complete his perfect cat life is his own home where he can stay forever. He practically sits on packed suitcases and perks up his ears, waiting for his heart's desire to arrive soon. Who will give this uncomplicated charmer the ticket to a new life?

Ilza ließ ihn im vergangenen Herbst kastrieren und kümmerte sich seitdem jeden Tag um ihn. Mit der Zeit fasste Manolito immer mehr Vertrauen, wurde zutraulich und begann schließlich sogar, Ilza auf ihren Wegen zu begleiten – selbst über die Straße folgte er ihr. Spätestens da war klar, dass das Leben draußen für ihn viel zu gefährlich geworden war. Deshalb nahm Ilza den lieben Kater mit in Sicherheit. Bei Ilza zeigt Manolito sich ruhig, sanft und verschmust. Er liebt Streicheleinheiten, sucht gerne die Gesellschaft seiner Bezugspersonen und zeigt sich dabei lieb und entspannt. Wenn man bedenkt, wie vorsichtig und ängstlich er anfangs auf der Straße war, ist es besonders schön zu sehen, wie sehr er inzwischen aufgeblüht ist. Man merkt ihm richtig an, wie froh er darüber ist, nicht mehr draußen auf der Straße leben zu müssen. Auch mit anderen Katzen versteht sich Manolito gut und begegnet ihnen sozial und unkompliziert. Er ist wirklich ein Schatz, der einfach nur dazugehören möchte und nun bereit ist, sein Leben endlich in Sicherheit und Geborgenheit zu genießen. Jetzt fehlt Manolito eigentlich nur noch eines zu seinem vollkommenen Katzenglück: ein eigenes Zuhause, in dem er für immer ankommen darf. Er sitzt quasi schon auf gepackten Köfferchen und spitzt die Ohren, ob nicht bald Post von seinen Herzensmenschen eintrudelt.
