Marco is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who came to Belgium from Spain, looking for a new start. His past has clearly left its mark. He is a gentle, social and extremely people-oriented dog, but in new situations he is rather reserved. Give him time and you will see him blossom step by step. Once Marco trusts you, he enjoys your company immensely. He likes to lie close to you and happily curls up next to you on the couch for a cuddle moment. Those quiet moments together are his favorite. Meanwhile, he is also cautiously showing his playful side. It's still small steps, but every day he gains more confidence. That's why we are looking for a family that will give him the time and peace to grow at his own pace. Marco has a strong escape instinct. A securely fenced garden and extra caution with doors, gates and walks are therefore an absolute must. He is not a dog who can just run loose. In his foster home, Marco lives together with other dogs and cats. That works out very well: everyone respects each other's space and Marco clearly feels comfortable there. He loves to walk. On a long leash he can calmly discover the world, sniff around and explore. That gives him clear peace and satisfaction. For Marco we are looking for a quiet and patient family that understands that trust takes time. Whoever gives him that chance will get an extremely sweet, loyal and affectionate dog for life.

Marco is een Stafford die vanuit Spanje naar België is gekomen, op zoek naar een nieuwe start. Zijn verleden heeft duidelijk zijn sporen nagelaten. Hij is een zachtaardige, sociale en ontzettend mensgerichte hond, maar in nieuwe situaties is hij eerder terughoudend. Geef je hem de tijd, dan zie je hem stap voor stap openbloeien. Eens Marco je vertrouwt, geniet hij enorm van je gezelschap. Hij komt graag dicht bij je liggen en kruipt met veel plezier naast je in de zetel voor een knuffelmoment. Die rustige momenten samen vindt hij heerlijk. Ondertussen begint hij ook voorzichtig zijn speelse kant te tonen. Het zijn nog kleine stapjes, maar elke dag wint hij wat meer vertrouwen. Daarom zoeken we een gezin dat hem de tijd en rust wil geven om op zijn eigen tempo te groeien. Marco heeft een sterke ontsnappingsdrang. Een goed afgesloten tuin en extra voorzichtigheid bij deuren, poorten en wandelingen zijn dan ook een absolute must. Hij is geen hond die zomaar los kan lopen. In zijn opvanggezin leeft Marco samen met andere honden en katten. Dat verloopt heel goed: iedereen respecteert elkaars ruimte en Marco voelt zich daar duidelijk comfortabel bij. Wandelen doet hij ontzettend graag. Aan een lange lijn kan hij rustig de wereld ontdekken, snuffelen en op onderzoek uitgaan. Dat geeft hem duidelijk rust en voldoening.
