He’s currently staying at a foster home, where he underwent a full quality test and aced it with flying colors! Here’s the official dog-use report: 🐾 Home life and good manners 100% spotless: Zero accidents. Your carpets are safe. Master of waiting: Stays home alone for up to 10 hours (though read on—there’s a little catch!). Attitude toward other dogs: Loves his whole pack. With a younger female pup, he has wild chases around the yard; with an older male, he engages in philosophical contemplation and observes the world together. Cat pact of non-aggression: Ignores the house cat with full, mutual disdain. 🐕‍🦺 On walks and during travel Leash perfection: Works beautifully on leash and is always attentive to the human on the other end. Regularly glances your way to make sure you’re still there and haven’t gotten lost along the way. Discussion club: Sometimes he’ll bark at other dogs. He does it according to his own strictly secret formula. Apparently, not every dog he meets deserves his refined company. Polite in the waiting room, exemplary in the exam room. At the groomer’s: A wonder! Despite slight stress, he remains utterly composed—zero growling or showing teeth. He simply closes his eyes and meditates, waiting patiently for his new haircut. ❤️ Character and little “buts” Marley is walking love and gentleness itself. When you come home, his fluffy body literally curls up with happiness in a big hug. He’s a sensitive and somewhat anxious dog—sudden movements can startle him. He approaches new people with reserve, but curiosity always wins out. Then he sticks his big nose right in your face and “reads” you like a morning newspaper. Where will Marley be happiest? In a home with older children, happily with other pets (dogs, cats—total freedom). Marley can stay alone, but then he suffers from separation anxiety. So, someone who can help him work through that and already has another dog at home would be ideal. Marley can live with other dogs, though initially, the human connection was most important. He dreams most of all of a home with remote work. Then he turns into a “shadow dog”—he’ll lie under your desk, watch over your feet, and love you endlessly 24 hours a day.
