Marron

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 6 months

Marron was born around 06/2026 and is currently about 25 cm tall and weighs 4.5 kg (as of 30.09.2026). Together with his mother and siblings Mando, Marula, Madito, Maddox, Maico, Makano and Marla, he was rescued from a particularly bad area of the municipality. There, people live who mistreat animals and cause them suffering. For little Marron, their rescue now means a great chance at a sheltered and loving life. Marron is a social and open-minded little male puppy. He greets his surroundings in a friendly way and enjoys contact with people. Despite his difficult start in life, he can now simply be a cheerful puppy, discover the world, play and build trust. For Marron we are looking for a loving family that will give him time to get to know everything, patiently accompany him and show him how wonderful a dog's life can be. His siblings are also still looking for their own families. Perhaps Marron can soon become your little happiness on four paws? We look forward to your inquiries! He has been examined by a veterinarian, dewormed, treated for fleas, microchipped, vaccinated and tested for Mediterranean diseases, including leishmaniasis, and has an EU pet passport and TRACES registration. He is still too young to be neutered. The adoption fee is €595.

DE·Show original

About Marron

What life with Marron looks like

Marron is a small puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Tierrettung International e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Marron, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Marron?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierrettung International e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Marron on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Marron if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierrettung International e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Marron already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Marron isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierrettung International e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Marron and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
