Masza

Mixed Breed · Female

Masza had her "home" on a littered backyard, where two pallets created something like a "shed," and an abandoned stroller was a place of shelter. This was a place unfit for living. Here, on a chain, she lived days and nights, not knowing warmth or care. With the help of the police, she was freed from this tragic "home" - frozen, with terrified eyes, and the chain was directly on her delicate skin. Now she is with us, safe at Ekostraja, healthy and ready for a new life. Masza is a young female dog, full of joy and eager to form relationships. She needs to learn about the world, including passing cars, which sometimes make her anxious, but she quickly learns that now she is in the safe hands of volunteers and there are no more dangers for her. She is an energetic, lively, about one-year-old female dog, ready for new adventures and looking for a caring home.

PL·Show original

Masza miała swój „dom” na zaśmieconym podwórku, gdzie dwie palety tworzyły coś w rodzaju „budy”, a porzucona wersalka stanowiła miejsce schronienia. Masza to młoda sunia, pełna radości i chętna do nawiązywania relacji. About Masza

What life with Masza looks like

Masza is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja EkoStraż in Wrocław.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Masza, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Masza?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja EkoStraż handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Masza on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Masza if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja EkoStraż will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Masza already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Masza isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja EkoStraż early rather than rehoming privately; they know Masza and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
