Mesi is a gentle cat who values human companionship on his own terms. Mesi is a 7-year-old Scottish straight male cat who arrived at the association as a home changer for reasons beyond his control. Despite his stern expression, he is a gentle prankster. Mesi warms up slowly to new places and does not enjoy being in people's arms very much. However, he is involved in everyday life by lounging nearby and watching people's activities. Mesi comes over for petting and makes a loud meowing sound when he wants attention or food. In addition, Mesi talks to himself, and he cannot be a quiet companion. Mesi also needs his own space and can often be found lounging on the glazed balcony. This has become Mesi's favorite place, so it would be a plus in a new home as well. In addition to watching neighbors and hunting insects, playing, climbing into unexpected places, and hiding are meaningful activities for him. It is also good to have running space, because when evening hepul attacks, Mesi runs back and forth between two climbing trees. Despite this, Mesi knows how to relax and often joins in watching TV or taking a nap. Mesi enjoys being stroked on the cheeks and head. Despite his need for attention, this gentleman is very self-assured. When Mesi's patience wears thin and he doesn't understand when someone stops, Mesi may slap or nip. For this reason, Mesi would best suit a home with only adults. However, Mesi does not shy away from new people; he often throws himself at everyone's feet to cuddle. Loud guests have not scared Mesi either; he has observed events or retreated to his own peace. Mesi has no experience with other pets because in his previous home he was the only cat. Lifting, brushing and trimming nails are activities that Mesi finds unpleasant, but tolerable in short parts. Due to his breed, osteochondrodysplasia may cause bone or cartilage changes in Mesi, as well as resulting joint pain. The new owner should be aware of how to recognize and treat the cat's pain. During the time at the foster home, no pain behavior has been observed in Mesi. Because of the structure of his head, Mesi's eyes water a lot and sometimes his breathing whistles or wheezes. In the spring, Mesi had coughing that was probably caused by respiratory distress and pollen. Such symptoms should also be kept an eye on in the future and consulted with a veterinarian if necessary. Occasional vomiting of hairballs has occurred in the previous home and now at the foster home. During the summer, Mesi has had malt rations for a few days that he likes very much. With these and daily brushing, vomiting has stopped almost completely. Constipation has also been observed in Mesi, which is why he eats Gastrointestinal fibre response food. Wet food was a challenge with Mesi in the previous home, and Mesi did not eat it for a long time. During the summer, Mesi began to eat wet food as well, and its amount will be increased gradually. Due to constipation, Mesi uses levolac and psyllium preparations. They taste good with delicious paste and Mesi already knows how to wait for his morning and evening treats. With these measures, play and ensuring water intake, constipation symptoms have eased. It should also be monitored and treated in the new home. However, Mesi makes a good-mannered companion for a quiet or more active home.
