Michel is a dog who was rescued as a pup. Since then, he has been staying at the shelter with rescuer Timea, but unfortunately, he still hasn't found his own home. With a height of about 45 cm and a weight of around 18 kilograms, he has a special build. He is not high on his legs, but has a somewhat longer and stronger body. Additionally, his short tail stands out, giving him a unique appearance. Also, his typical "splay" position, where he lies flat with his hind legs stretched back, makes him especially endearing. In April 2026, our volunteers went to Romania, where they personally met Michel. There, they saw that Michel is a kind and calm dog. He is not overly active. Furthermore, he is easily approachable and enjoys attention. Petting is lovely for him, and he remains calm and relaxed. He gets along well with other dogs, showing that he is social and balanced. Although he has a good foundation, Michel, like every dog, will need time to get used to a new environment. With patience and guidance, he can further develop into a stable and nice family dog. Finally, Michel is a sweet, gentle, and calm young man who has been waiting for his chance for too long. Michel is ready to make the exciting journey to the Netherlands. Michel is een reu die als pup werd gered. Sindsdien verblijft hij in de opvang bij rescuer Timea, maar helaas heeft hij nog altijd geen eigen thuis gevonden. Met een schofthoogte van ongeveer 45 cm en een gewicht van rond de 18 kilo heeft hij een bijzondere bouw. Hij is niet hoog op zijn poten, maar heeft een wat langer en steviger lichaam. Daarnaast valt zijn korte staartje op, wat hem een unieke uitstraling geeft. Ook zijn typische “sploot”-houding, waarbij hij languit ligt met zijn achterpootjes naar achteren, maakt hem extra aandoenlijk. In april 2026 gingen onze vrijwilligers naar Roemenië toe, waar zij Michel persoonlijk hebben leren kennen. Daar hebben zij gezien dat Michel een vriendelijke en rustige hond is. Hij is niet overdreven actief. Verder laat hij zich goed benaderen en geniet hij van aandacht. Aaien vindt hij heerlijk en hij blijft daarbij rustig en ontspannen. Ook met andere honden gaat hij goed om, wat laat zien dat hij sociaal en evenwichtig is. Hoewel hij een goede basis heeft, zal ook Michel, net als iedere hond, tijd nodig hebben om te wennen aan een nieuwe omgeving. Met geduld en begeleiding kan hij zich verder ontwikkelen tot een stabiele en fijne huishond. Tenslotte is Michel een lieve, zachtaardige en rustige jongen die al veel te lang wacht op zijn kans. Michel is klaar om de spannende reis naar Nederland te maken.
