Adopt Milana – vermittelt

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Milana now lives in 41069 Mönchengladbach. All the best, Milana. Heartfelt thanks, Mrs. H. Milana Bonita is an exceptionally beautiful female dog, just over 3 years old (as of February 2024). Despite her young age, Milana had already had several litters – and was never allowed to raise her puppies. In the village where she grew up, no one paid attention to the loving dog lady, hardly anyone cared about her food, she was neither vaccinated nor microchipped – and not neutered either. Whenever Milana then gave birth to her babies, someone was always found to "dispose" of the puppies, but no one was willing to free the desperately searching mother from this circle of suffering through spaying. In December, an animal rescuer became aware of Milana, and now Milana's life has greatly improved. She lives with her rescuer on foster care, and the experienced dog handler has transformed the malnourished, sad animal into a real princess. Dense fur and shining eyes are a beautiful thing, but even more beautiful is the transformation in Milana's nature. The extremely affectionate nature enjoys fun walks together, where she leads the leash obediently and shows her best side. Milana likes other dogs and communicates openly. She plays with dedication and has found many new friends. Even cats, especially those living in the house, find the friendly little girl dog completely okay, and cuddling with all the living beings in the house is one of Milana's favorite activities. Milana shows herself to be open-minded and explores new things curiously. She bravely and fearlessly accepts changes relatively easily, although she has a great fear of airplanes … so she might not want to live directly in the flight path of an airport. Generally, Milana is a very balanced, rather quiet character, which is why we are looking for a family where there is not constant action. Milana likes to play, she likes to be outside, and enjoys every affection, but she also loves the peace and can spend hours watching clouds in the garden without needing more mental stimulation. If you want to give this wonderful female dog a home, you don't have to do much. The first step would be to get in touch with our matchmakers, who can then explain everything else to you – from the day you stand in front of the transporter and hold your new best friend for the first time.

Milana lebt jetzt in 41069 Mönchengladbach. Alles Gute, Milana.

About Milana – vermittelt

What life with Milana – vermittelt looks like

Milana – vermittelt is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. in Gernsbach.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Milana – vermittelt, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Milana – vermittelt?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Milana – vermittelt on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Milana – vermittelt if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Milana – vermittelt already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Milana – vermittelt isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Milana – vermittelt and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
