The Carpen shelter kennel is located in a quiet rural area. The location is ideal for the shelter dogs, but being in a remote area also has its challenges. There are very few other animal shelters in the nearby area, and therefore there are many homeless dogs in this area. The word shelter kennel has spread, and unfortunately, people often abandon their animals near the farm. In the summer of 2022, the person maintaining the farm, Carmen, found three small puppies on a field near the farm. The mother was nowhere to be seen, so it was a complete mystery whether something had happened to the mother or if someone had abandoned the unwanted puppies there for her to find. Knowing that the puppies would not survive on their own, Carmen took them to the shelter kennel. There, Milana, Melena and Menja are still waiting together with Bietan, who moved into the shelter. Due to the limited human contact at the farm, they have become shy, and therefore the chances of finding a home without Emblaa are very small. The siblings, having grown up in the shelter kennel, are very inexperienced. Therefore, everything is new and exciting for them, and their first reaction in strange situations is to retreat further away for safety. However, the trio also approaches strangers curiously and stays to watch people from a short distance. Each of them communicates their tension beautifully through calming gestures, and Carmen says that even though the actual handling and touching are still foreign to them, all necessary care procedures have always gone very well. Milana is the shyer of the siblings. He likes to watch people's movements from behind his sisters and easily moves away when a person approaches. A lively dog companion would definitely be a big support in their future home or foster home.

Carpen tarha sijaitsee rauhallisella maaseudulla. Tarhalla asuville koirille sijainti on ihanteellinen, mutta syrjäisessä sijainnissa on haasteensa. Tarhan lähialueilla ei juuri ole muita eläinsuojelijoita ja siksi alueella elää paljon kodittomia koiria. Sana tarhasta on levinnyt ja valitettavan usein ihmiset myös hylkäävät eläimiään tarhan lähistölle. Kesällä 2022 tarhaa ylläpitävä Carmen löysi tarhan läheiseltä pellolta kolme pientä pentua. Emoa ei näkynyt missään, joten oli täysi mysteeri, oliko emolle sattunut jotakin vai oliko joku hylännyt ei-toivotut pennut sinne hänen löydettäväkseen. Tietäen, etteivät pennut mitenkään selviäisi omillaan, Carmen otti heidän tarhalle turvaan. Siellä Milana, Melena ja Menja odottavat edelleen yhdessä joukkoon muuttaneen Bietan kanssa. Tarhan vähillä ihmiskontakteilla heistä kasvoi ujoja ja niinpä mahdollisuudet omaan kotiin ilman Emblaa ovat kovin pienet. Sisarukset ovat tarhalla kasvettuaan kovin kokemattomia. Niinpä aivan kaikki on heille uutta ja jännittävää ja siksi heidän ensireaktionsa on oudoissa tilanteissa vetäytyä kauemmas turvaan. Kolmikko suhtautuu kuitenkin myös vieraisiin ihmisiin uteliaasti ja jää tarkkailemaan ihmisten touhuja pienen välimatkan päähän. Jokainen heistä viestii hienosti rauhoittavilla eleillä jännitystään ja Carmen kertoo, että vaikka varsinainen käsittely ja koskeminen ovatkin heille vieraita, ovat kaikki pakolliset hoitotoimenpiteet sujuneet aina hyvin. Milana on sisaruksista ujoin. Hän tarkkailee mielellään ihmisten touhuja siskojensa takaa ja lähtee herkästi kauemmas ihmisen lähestyessä. Reipas koirakaveri olisi varmasti iso tuki tulevassa kodissa tai kotihoitopaikassa.
