Miley

Labrador Retriever · Female · Adult · 5 years

Hi, my name is Miley. I’m a female Labrador cross, born on 17/12/2021. I’m a friendly girl who is happy around other dogs, although I tend to avoid them rather than engage with them. Because of this, I would prefer a home where I can be the only dog. What I really want is human company, love and affection. Miley can be a little skittish and we feel she hasn’t experienced much of the world outside her previous home. She will need a patient and understanding person who can give her the time she needs to settle in, adjust to her new surroundings and build confidence. Miley does need some work on her lead walking as she can pull, but she absolutely loves her food and is eager to please, so with the right training, we feel this is something she should quickly improve on. She has been the perfect guest in her current foster home and is a lovely girl who just needs someone to give her the time, patience and reassurance she deserves. If you think Miley could be the girl for you, please get in touch. Please check our website to make sure we cover your area. Miley is in Lincolnshire. For an application email : please contact Joan Falvey () via email with ‘Miley’ in the subject box.

About Miley

What life with Miley looks like

Miley is a adult labrador retriever dog waiting at Labrador Lifeline Trust in Tadley.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Miley, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Miley?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Labrador Lifeline Trust handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Miley on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Miley if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Labrador Lifeline Trust will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Miley already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Miley isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Labrador Lifeline Trust early rather than rehoming privately; they know Miley and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
