Mimi

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Mimi is a gentle, calm, and loyal little female dog. After a short acclimation period of two days, she has settled in wonderfully at the foster home and fits in absolutely unproblematically with the existing group. Her greatest love is clearly for humans: Mimi constantly seeks the proximity of her person, sleeps close to her, and enjoys cuddling in full measure. She is not a dog that needs to be constantly entertained - it is enough for her to simply be in the same environment, pay attention, and know that she belongs. Due to her calm, obedient nature, she is an ideal companion for a relaxed everyday life. Mimi was discovered on the terrace of a café, where she hopefully ran from table to table, asking for attention or food. Apart from a little water from a friendly guest, she remained unnoticed. A week later, the same man discovered her by chance on a street, just as she was being chased away. He reacted immediately, took Mimi in the car, and brought her to a neighboring animal rights activist. Overview of special features and everyday resources: • Balanced social compatibility: Currently lives harmoniously with several dogs of different ages (from puppy to senior) as well as four cats. • Very people-oriented: Builds a close bond and enjoys the mere presence of her humans. • Unobtrusive & calm: Shows a very pleasant basic temperament. Mimi's dream home: • People, couples, or seniors who are looking for a faithful, affectionate companion and want to share a lot of time with her in everyday life. • Gladly in a household with other friendly dogs or cats. • Much time, patience, and understanding to introduce her to all new everyday situations and teach her the basics of dog behavior. • A home with children is very conceivable. However, they should know canine communication and respect boundaries. How you can help: ❣️ Adopt ❣️ Offer foster care ❣️ Sponsorship ❣️ Share - so that Mimi finds her own family 🐾💗

About Mimi

What life with Mimi looks like

Mimi is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Hund sucht Hütte in Austria.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇦🇹Adopting from Austria

Austrian shelters follow the federal Tierschutzgesetz framework: adopters sign a Schutzvertrag (protection contract) committing to the animal's welfare. Spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations are included; fees typically range €150–€350.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mimi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mimi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hund sucht Hütte handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mimi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mimi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hund sucht Hütte will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mimi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mimi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hund sucht Hütte early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mimi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
