adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this dog! Miranda was found alone, emaciated, and desperate. It was clear that she had just become a mother—but not a single trace of her puppies could be found. Her gentle, mournful singing touched the heart. Fortunately, she found refuge at the Gini House. And there, a miracle happened: A group of abandoned puppies desperately needed a mother—and Miranda didn't hesitate for a second. With full devotion, she took in the little ones, cared for, and nursed them as if they were her own. Her unconditional love deeply moved us. Today, Miranda is ready to find her own home. She is a people-oriented, gentle female dog with an open heart. She shows social and friendly behavior with other animals. Cuddles, calm walks, and the closeness of her people make her happy. Miranda is 6 years old, approximately 36 cm tall, and weighs 9 kg. Despite her age, she exudes joy for life: She loves to run and play on the grass in an open field. Due to her appearance, we unfortunately cannot rule out that Miranda is a mixed breed, possibly a Pit Bull Terrier mix. These breeds are people-oriented, loyal, and cuddly—true hearts with four legs. With her sturdy body and energy, she loves to be active outdoors, running over fields and exploring the world. At the same time, they are smart, eager to learn, and sometimes a bit stubborn—under loving, consistent training and clear structures, they truly thrive. Unfortunately, as a suspected Pit Bull Terrier mix, Miranda cannot be rehomed to Germany and must find a home in Switzerland (not allowed in all cantons), Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, or wherever she is welcome and can lead an appropriate life. As is often the case with her breed, Miranda needs responsible people who can give her secure guidance and good socialization. For this, she will surely enjoy a visit to a positively working dog training class after the adjustment period. She has never lived in a home before—so we hope with all our hearts that she finds her warm dog bed with loving people before the cold winter. Other dogs in the home would not be a problem for her. Miranda wishes for a home where she is accepted without pressure but with lots of heart. A foster home could also help this adaptable female dog begin her new life. Miranda travels neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas to her new home. Of course, she has her EU pet passport in her travel bag. She is ready to go to a new home after a positive adoption. Miranda was named by you, dear Ker W.! Date: September 30.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank Ker W.! Du hast Miranda ihren Namen geschenkt! About Miranda

What life with Miranda looks like

Miranda is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Miranda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Miranda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Miranda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Miranda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Miranda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Miranda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Miranda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
