adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Mireya has found her home! Her story: The enchanting Mireya lives up to her name – for it stands for something admirable, and that is exactly what she is. With her white fur and fox-colored markings, she is a little gaze-catcher that simply enchants. This warm aura, paired with her inquisitive gaze, grants her a very special, almost charismatic charm. But not only visually is Mireya a little highlight – her personality also makes her something very special. She is the little star of her sibling group: incredibly loving, open, and full of explorer joy. She would most love to simply be close to her people, snuggle, enjoy attention, and explore the world together. Her cuddly nature is simply melt-in-your-hand. Currently, Mireya lives in the our shelter in Fantanele. Her mom Ariel measures about 50 cm, so we assume that Mireya will also reach this size. Whether she gets along with cats has not yet been tested. Her story begins sadly: Her mom gave birth to her puppies outside a village. Some of her siblings were taken by children and could no longer be found, but fortunately, Mireya and her two sisters Blar and Madison were secured and taken to safety. Now, Mireya is searching for her own home – a place where she is loved and can belong. People who show her with patience and heart how beautiful a protected dog life can be and teach her with loving consistency the small lessons of family dog life – because house life is still completely foreign to her. Of course, a puppy also always brings a portion of chaos: house training, first rules, and the exciting world outside want to be discovered step by step. But with empathy, humor, and a little composure, this intensive time can also be wonderfully mastered – perhaps with the help of a positively working dog training class. A confident only dog could ease her adjustment, but it is not a must. Much more important are people who give her security and countless snuggles – because Mireya can never get enough of them. As soon as Mireya is old enough, she can move into her new home, but she is also very happy about a foster home. She is then microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, and brings her EU pet passport. Stand: 25.03. Many thanks to the community! You have given Mireya her name!

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 25.03.2026

About Mireya

What life with Mireya looks like

Mireya is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mireya, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mireya?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mireya on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mireya if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mireya already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mireya isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mireya and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
