Mischling Kito mixed breed male/neutered, born around 2012, surrendered due to illness…An urgent foster home or Forever Home is needed for this senior dog! Kito came to Germany from Spain in 2019, where he found a new home with an older couple. In 2023, when his male companion passed away and his female companion fell seriously ill, Kito, at around 12 years old, had to move back into the animal shelter. When Kito returned to the animal shelter, he was not in good condition. The doggy was completely matted and much too fat. He was therefore put on a diet and had to be completely shaved, revealing some bald spots. Kito did not feel well at the animal shelter and was luckily able to move to a foster home in October 2023. Unfortunately, his foster mother is now seriously ill in the hospital and can no longer take care of the doggy. Kito is more of a laid-back type and is looking for a home with little chaos and lots of cuddles, preferably with a senior woman or a senior couple. Kito likes women very much, but is initially a bit skeptical of men. Long walks are not his favorite activity; he prefers to lie snoring in his comfortable dog bed or to be petted. At the foster home, Kito lived with two cats, with whom he got along well. However, in his new home, he would rather be a solo prince because he doesn’t like to share cuddles. Kito gets along well with female dogs, but his feelings towards male dogs are based on their liking. Doggy encounters are generally not a problem. Kito can be left alone for several hours, but he would rather be with his people all day and follow them everywhere. Kito is a lovable stubborn senior dog who did not receive much training in his life. He is house-trained, but due to his age, he occasionally has an accident. Due to his significant weight and age, Kito is looking for an ground-floor home and people who will continue to help him lose weight. Mischling Kito Mischling männlich/kastriert, geboren ca. 2012, Abgabe wegen Krankheit…Dringend neue Pflegestelle oder Für-immer-Zuhause für Hundesenior gesucht!Kito kam 2019 von Spanien nach Deutschland, wo er sein neues Zuhause bei einem älteren Ehepaar fand. Als 2023 zuerst das Herrchen verstarb und später sein Frauchen schwer erkrankte, musste Kito mit (geschätzten) 12 Jahren erneut im Tierheim einziehen. Als Kito zurück ins Tierheim kam, war er in keinem guten Zustand. Der Hundebub war total verfilzt und viel zu dick. Er wurde also auf Diät gesetzt und musste komplett geschoren werden, wobei einige kahle Stellen zum Vorschein kamen. Im Tierheim fühlte sich Kito gar nicht wohl und durfte im Oktober 2023 glücklicherweise schnell auf eine Pflegestelle umziehen. Leider ist nun auch sein Pflegefrauchen mit einer schweren Erkrankung im Krankenhaus und kann sich nicht weiter um den Hundeopi kümmern. Kito ist eher der gemütliche Typ und sucht daher ein Zuhause mit wenig Trubel und viel Streicheleinheiten, gerne bei einer Rentnerin oder einem Rentnerpaar. Frauen mag Kito sehr, bei Männern ist er anfangs noch etwas skeptisch. Lange Spaziergänge gehören nicht zu seiner Lieblingsbeschäftigung, viel lieber liegt er schnarchend in seinem gemütlichen Hundebett oder lässt sich streicheln. Auf der Pflegestelle lebte Kito mit zwei Katzen zusammen, mit denen er sich gut verträgt. Er wäre im neuen Zuhause aber lieber Einzelprinz, weil er Streicheleinheiten ungern teilt. Mit Hündinnen versteht sich Kito gut, bei Rüden entscheidet die Sympathie. Hundebegegnungen sind aber prinzipiell unproblematisch. Er kann mehrere Stunden alleine bleiben, wäre aber lieber den ganzen Tag bei seinen Menschen und folgt ihnen auf Schritt und Tritt. Kito ist ein liebenswerter starrköpfiger Hundesenior, der in seinem Leben nicht all zu viel Erziehung genossen hat. Er ist stubenrein, verliert altersbedingt aber hier und da mal ein kleines Tröpfchen. Aufgrund seines starken Übergewichtes und des Alters sucht Kito ein ebenerdiges Zuhause und Menschen, die weiter dafür sorgen, dass er Gewicht verliert.
