MISIA DT

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 2 months

MISIA - a little girl with a big appetite and an even bigger heart is looking for her home. Misia came to our shelter along with her brother Oki. The puppies previously lived in very poor conditions, but despite the difficult start in life they have not lost their joy and trust in humans. Today Misia safely stays in a temporary home where she learns about the world every day and learns to live alongside people. She is a real little dog - full of charm, curiosity and childlike energy. She is a huge food lover. As soon as she hears the sound of an opened can or pouch, Misia immediately wakes up even from the deepest nap and loudly lets you know that she's ready for a meal. In her temporary home she lives with two adult dogs, with whom she gets along great. She really likes the company of other animals, and older colleagues teach her dog rules. Of course, as it is a puppy, sometimes she forgets about them and can be a bit pushy, but every day she makes progress.

MISIA -mała dziewczynka z wielkim apetytem i jeszcze większym sercem szuka swojego domu. To prawdziwy psi dzidziuś - pełen uroku, ciekawości i dziecięcej energii.

About MISIA DT

What life with MISIA DT looks like

MISIA DT is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Świdnica in Poland.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting MISIA DT, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about MISIA DT?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Świdnica handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw MISIA DT on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt MISIA DT if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Świdnica will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is MISIA DT already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if MISIA DT isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Świdnica early rather than rehoming privately; they know MISIA DT and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
