Adopt Mochikan

Male

The wonderful Husky male dog Mochikan is eagerly waiting in our Hungarian cooperation shelter for a forever home. Unfortunately, we know nothing about his past. What we do know, however, is that he is a sensitive dog who is affected by the stress and noise level in the animal shelter. Therefore, of course, we hope that he will soon be able to move into a suitable and loving home. Towards people, Mochikan shows himself to be very loving and friendly. He enjoys cuddles. His compatibility with other dogs has not yet been tested. For Mochikan, we wish for people with Husky experience who understand this special breed and can adequately challenge him. As a shelter dog who has not yet had much to experience, Mochikan is a raw diamond that needs people who enjoy working with him and discovering the world together. Potential children should already be older (14+ years) and be able to take the needs of a dog into account. In general, the work on mutual trust should be the priority with such a sensitive dog. But also basic obedience training should be learned. Mochikan is still at the very beginning of his training. Here, a safe and consistent hand is needed that works patiently and lovingly with him. House training and basic obedience do not happen overnight, but we value Mochikan as very trainable and think that he will soon show progress. Where are the Husky lovers who will open the door to a worry-free and fulfilling life for our Mochikan? Mochikan travels neutered vaccinated, with an identification chip, and an EU pet passport. Additionally, he will be tested for travel diseases at the German laboratory "Laboklin" before travel arrangements. All our shelter dogs receive a safety harness for travel arrangements. We would like to draw your attention to the fact that all our shelter dogs, whose past we often know little or nothing about, are rehomed directly from the intake centers to their families. In the initial phase, they require a lot of time and patience. The animals are generally not house-trained, cannot be walked on a leash, and do not know any commands. Furthermore, they may be initially shy or jumpy. Interested in this dog? Then click on this link to access the adoption form.

Aktuelle Bilder

About Mochikan

What life with Mochikan looks like

Mochikan is a medium-sized adult dog waiting at Paradies für Tiere e.V. in Reutlingen.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mochikan, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mochikan?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Paradies für Tiere e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mochikan on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mochikan if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Paradies für Tiere e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mochikan already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mochikan isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Paradies für Tiere e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mochikan and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
