Adopt Moka

Female · Adult · 5 years

The kitty Moka was born into very unfortunate circumstances on 02.07.2021. She was found with many other cats in a house that was completely run-down, where the cats were left to their fate. Fortunately, our Spanish partners rescued her from the house and are now taking loving care of her. Now, the female cat wishes for a loving family to welcome her with open arms and give her love and security. She gets along well with other cats, so she should have feline companionship in her new home. She can also bring one of her friends, such as Mariano. Moka is an independent kitty who is initially reserved and needs time to build trust. Once she has gained trust and is in the mood for cuddles, she enjoys them. She is spayed and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Currently, she is still in Spain but can move to her new home at any time. For travel arrangements, she will be fully vaccinated and microchipped. Can Moka find her new cozy haven with you?

About Moka

What life with Moka looks like

Moka is a adult cat waiting at Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Moka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Moka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Moka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Moka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Moka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Moka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Moka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
