Moos

Male Β· Young Β· 1 year

Moos came to us as a rehomed dog due to allergies in the household. After two placements, he returned because of destructive behavior and dominance issues. Moos is a very young dog who doesn't know much yet, doesn't have any commands and hasn't seen much of the world. He's a very sweet dog, but you need to get to know him as a stranger first. Moos loves to work for you and will be suitable for dog sports. It's important for Moos to find a home with consistent people who will treat him like a dog from day one. A home where he can roam outside on a fenced-in area would be perfect for this sweetheart! We're looking for a stable household for Moos, with people who have experience with herding dogs. For more information about Moos, please contact us!

About Moos

What life with Moos looks like

Moos is a young adult dog waiting at Dierenasiel Brammelo in Netherlands.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡³πŸ‡±Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Moos, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Moos?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dierenasiel Brammelo handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Moos on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Moos if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Dierenasiel Brammelo will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Moos already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Moos isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dierenasiel Brammelo early rather than rehoming privately; they know Moos and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
