Morle

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Morle was locally adopted! Her story: One wouldn't guess the playful, cuddly Morle had a tough life. She and her siblings were kittens found by a lady who immediately took them to a vet clinic as they suffered from rhinotracheitis and were very ill. Sadly, Morle was the only one of the litter to survive the illness. Today, she is almost 2 years old, fully recovered, and shows no lasting effects from her illness! After her recovery, she went into a foster home where she quickly felt safe and secure. Generally, she warms up to people and other cats quickly. Only with dogs, she needs a bit of time to get used to them and prefers a secure spot to hide. Despite that, Morle gets along well with other cats and has no problem keeping herself entertained... as long as she gets enough cuddles from her people in between! Morle is always in a good mood and loves to play and snuggle. She enjoys playing with all kinds of toys; currently, she is very attached to her small toy ball, which she carries around and only puts down for eating! Inside the home, Morle feels much more comfortable than outside. She would still love a cat-safe netted balcony, though. Morle is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. She also has an EU pet passport and is now ready for her hopefully final move. Many thanks to Jane K. for giving Morle her beautiful name. As of 28.06.

About Morle

What life with Morle looks like

Morle is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Morle, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Morle?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Morle on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Morle if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Morle already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Morle isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Morle and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
