Adopt Multu

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Multu has found his luck! His story: Baia Mare, Romania. Multu is an eye-catching, young dog looking for a dog-friendly life with loving people. Do you perhaps have a warm dog bed and a spot in your heart for him? Multu is only about 2.5 years old and has certainly experienced a lot in his short life. While one of our colleagues on site did not simply turn a blind eye to the young dog's suffering, he took him in to the shelter. Although this was certainly the best short-term solution for Multu as he is now being fed, he should be rehomed into a proper home as soon as possible. The shelter is hopefully overcrowded, and despite our staff doing everything they can, it's impossible to do justice to a young and active dog here. That's why Multu got his beautiful name and a proper identity, was photographed, and posted on this page. We are all hoping that he can soon travel to Germany to an end or foster home. Multu is an open and friendly dog who approaches people and other dogs openly and kindly. He loves people and is delighted by any affection and attention. Multu is a medium-sized dog with a shoulder height of about 55 cm. With his soft orange-red fur and black button eyes, he resembles a fox and is beautiful. Multu is a friendly and very gentle young dog. We recommend that the future adopter work with a positively working dog training class so that Multu can become a wonderful lifelong companion. Patient and loving training will certainly make Multu happy and strengthen the bond to his new family. Through regular contact with fellow animals and many positive experiences with his new people, the young male dog will quickly learn the 1×1 for a wonderful family dog and develop into a happy and reliable companion for all shared activities. Many thanks to Birgit D.! You have given Multu his unique name! A big thank you also goes to Birgit Z., who has taken on a monthly sponsorship for Multu. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vielen Dank an Birgit D.!

About Multu

What life with Multu looks like

Multu is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Multu, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Multu?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Multu on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Multu if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Multu already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Multu isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Multu and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
