Nacho, Cheese and Salsa

Male · Adult · 6 years

Salsa, Nacho and Cheese are an adorable bonded trio of rather chilled ferrets. They arrived into our care as a transfer from another RSPCA branch in the hope that the Bristol and wider community is going to provide them with their forever home. These adorable boys spend most of their day snoozing and cuddling up in bed together. Due to them being quite lazy we are currently trying to help them get a bit more excited and active at play time. Although they have been quite docile since arriving at the centre, for the first few days Salsa (being the spicy one) would nip during play but that has now stopped and they are now all fine to be handled. The boys arrived at Bristol ARC having been harness trained. Salsa and Nacho go out for regular short walks now to help them with their weight loss. They can still be a little nervous when going out for walks in new environments but they soon get used to it once they know where they are. Sadly Cheese had to have one of his eyes removed since arriving with us. He is still learning how to avoid bumping into things and is a little out of practice with harness walking. Once he is fully recovered he will be very excited to start going out and exploring with his brothers again. These bonded boys need to be rehomed as a trio and could possibly be adopted to a home with existing ferrets. They are used to living inside so we are looking for a home where they will have space to explore outside of their cage and help them try to keep fit and active! Frequently asked

Adopting Nacho, Cheese and Salsa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nacho, Cheese and Salsa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Bristol Animal Rescue Centre handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nacho, Cheese and Salsa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nacho, Cheese and Salsa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Bristol Animal Rescue Centre will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nacho, Cheese and Salsa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most animals on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nacho, Cheese and Salsa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Bristol Animal Rescue Centre early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nacho, Cheese and Salsa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
