(Can have video) UPDATE May 2026: Nadia is an unobtrusive female dog in the shelter. She doesn't stand out, but she is very happy when someone discovers her and gives her attention. Nadia moves around in the group, but remains conflict-free and can also entertain herself well alone. A straightforward, friendly female dog looking for her people. Nadia was caught by animal-loving people on a highway in Madrid and taken in by the animal shelter of PROA. In the animal shelter, she shows herself to be friendly towards people, without being pushy, without fears in dealing with people and ready to make contact and enjoy cuddles. She first observes other dogs from a distance, shows herself cautious in interactions with them, but not entirely unwilling to try playing and being silly. Nadia seems not familiar with life in the city. The traffic and the noises disturb her, but they don't cause panic. Once she trusts the person at the end of the leash, she is ready to face new experiences, albeit cautiously. Nadia comes alive outdoors in nature, in the forest and on field paths. Following the scents on the ground, digging for mice or looking for deer or rabbits - this is how Nadia imagines a fulfilled life. We are looking for active, empathetic people for the delicate, beautiful female dog, who love and appreciate the characteristics of Podencos and also take into account that docking and free roaming are rather unlikely for Podencos. Two walks around the block or laps in the city park are not enough to give Nadia a suitable life. Extended walks through fields and forests, sticking the nose into mouse holes, listening carefully for the slightest rustle of mice, and devotedly digging - these are the things that make a Podenco happy, and this also applies to Nadia. Tired from many new exciting impressions in nature, from sniffing and watching, Nadia will highly appreciate cozy snuggle time with her humans on the couch. (mit Video) UPDATE Mai 2026: Nadia ist eine unauffällige Hündin im Shelter. Sie fällt nicht auf, freut sich aber sehr, wenn man sie entdeckt hat und ihr Aufmerksamkeit schenkt. Nadia wuselt so in der Gruppe rum, bleibt dabei aber auch immer konfliktfrei und kann sich ebenfalls auch gut alleine beschäftigen. Eine unkomplizierte, freundliche Hündin auf der Suche nach ihren Menschen. Nadia wurde von tierlieben Menschen auf einer Schnellstraße in Madrid eingefangen und im Tierheim der PROA aufgenommen. Im Tierheim zeigt sie sich uns Menschen gegenüber freundlich, ohne aufdringlich zu sein, ohne Ängste im Umgang und bereit, Kontakt aufzunehmen und Streicheleinheiten zu genießen. Andere Hunde beobachtet sie erst einmal aus der Ferne, zeigt sich in der Interaktion mit ihnen vorsichtig, aber nicht gänzlich abgeneigt es mit Spielen und albern sein zu versuchen. Nadia scheint mit dem Leben in der Stadt nicht vertraut zu sein. Der Verkehr, die Geräusche verunsichern sie, versetzen sie aber nicht in Panik. Hat sie Vertrauen zum Menschen am Ende der Leine, ist sie bereit, sich, wenn auch vorsichtig, den neuen Erfahrungen zu stellen. Aufleben wird Nadia draußen in der Natur, im Wald und auf Feldwegen. Die Nase auf dem Boden den Spuren folgen, nach Mäusen buddeln oder nach Rehen oder Hasen Ausschau halten, so stellt sich Nadia ein erfülltes Leben vor. Wir suchen für die zierliche hübsche Hündin aktive, einfühlsame Menschen, die die Eigenschaften der Podencos lieben und schätzen und auch berücksichtigen, dass Ableinen und Freilauf bei Podencos eher unwahrscheinlich sind. Zwei Mal am Tag um den Block oder Runden im Stadtpark reichen nicht aus, um Nadia ein artgerechtes Leben zu schenken. Ausgedehnte Spaziergänge über Felder und durch Wälder, die Nase in Mauselöcher stecken, auf das leiseste Geraschel von Mäusen horchen und hingebungsvoll buddeln -das sind die Dinge, die einen Podenco glücklich machen, das gilt auch für Nadia. Müde von vielen neuen spannenden Eindrücken in der Natur, vom Schnüffeln und Schauen, wird Nadia erholsame Schmusestunden mit ihren Menschen auf dem Sofa sehr zu schätzen wissen.
