💗 Nami 💗 JADR 📍 Location: Croatia, near Zagreb - can be visited at any time 📅 Born: ca. November 13, 2024 📏 Size: ca. 48 cm ⚖️ Weight: ca. 15 kg 🩺 Health: vaccinated, microchipped, sterilized, EU pet passport present, all necessary tests conducted, fully recovered from a calcaneus fracture 💗 Your Story: Nami came to us very quietly and almost unnoticed - a case that went straight to our hearts. She was found severely injured and attacked. With painful eyes and great uncertainty, she came to me - her left hind leg held her in the air. 💔 The vet's diagnosis: calcaneus fracture. Followed by surgery, a cast, and a healing period. And during this time, Nami showed her true strength: with incredible patience, trust, and inner calm, she managed everything - without complaint, without fear. A small, quiet fighter who was finally able to experience that she is not alone. 💔➡️💗 Today, her leg is wonderfully healed, and she is ready to begin her new life. 💗 Her Nature: Nami is a gentle, loving, and balanced female dog. She is playful and happy, enjoys the company of other dogs, and brings a calm, warm energy. She is cautious with people at first - as if she needs to learn to trust again. But once her heart is won, she gives her whole love. 🐾💗 She is house-trained, loves walks, and is a pleasant companion in everyday life - calm at home and friendly in interactions. 🏡 Her Dream Home: Nami wishes for a loving home with people who give her time to settle in and show her with patience and affection how wonderful life can be. A family that starts with small steps and grows together with her. A place where she feels safe - forever. 🏡💗 ✨ Nami is ready for her new beginning - a gentle soul with a big heart, who only seeks love, security, and a home for life.

About Nami

What life with Nami looks like

Nami is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Hund sucht Hütte in Austria.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇦🇹Adopting from Austria

Austrian shelters follow the federal Tierschutzgesetz framework: adopters sign a Schutzvertrag (protection contract) committing to the animal's welfare. Spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations are included; fees typically range €150–€350.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nami, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nami?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hund sucht Hütte handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nami on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nami if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hund sucht Hütte will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nami already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nami isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hund sucht Hütte early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nami and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
