Namika und Nelio

European Shorthair · Male · Kitten · 5 months

We can't believe what happened to us... We were "forgotten" in a transport bag on a train! The shelter people say this happens during the holidays, unfortunately. Some people want to go on vacation and have to get rid of their pets, others bring pets from vacation and often realize after a short time that the pet doesn't fit into their daily routine. And then the animal has to be quickly rehomed. We probably will never find out why we were left on the train. But now about us. We are 2 playful, very funny and affectionate kittens. At just 4 months old, we are now looking for a forever home. We are lively and need attention for our age. We don't necessarily need outdoor access, but it would be great if you had a netted balcony. Larger children are no problem for us. We also get along well with other cats. If you have a written consent from the landlord to keep pets and can adopt us soon, please contact the shelter.

About Namika und Nelio

What life with Namika und Nelio looks like

Namika und Nelio is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Tierheim Stuttgart in Stuttgart.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Namika und Nelio, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Namika und Nelio?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Stuttgart handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Namika und Nelio on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Namika und Nelio if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Stuttgart will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Namika und Nelio already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Namika und Nelio isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Stuttgart early rather than rehoming privately; they know Namika und Nelio and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
