Animal Shelter Tenerife (Sabine): Update April 13, 2026: There are 8 new photos and a new video added, it's clear that Navi loves cuddles! Input March 31, 2026: Navi hasn't been with us at the animal shelter for very long but has already stolen many hearts from the very first moment with his lovely character and beautiful appearance! When we picked him up from his hunter, we saw a sad, "broken" soul, dirty, chained in a dark shed. A bent head, a sad look, and too many ribs. However, from the very first minute we walked through our door... we saw a totally different dog! A cheerful, friendly, curious dog full of life. Just gratitude, as if he knew his life was going to get better. And every day since then he makes it a celebration, for himself, for his buddies and for us. Everything and everyone is fun and nice and you simply can't get angry or upset with him. What a happy egg and what a treasure it is to have him around with his contagious enthusiasm. Your day can't be worse after you've been to his patio. Navi is people-oriented, men, women, friends or strangers. He greets everyone gladly and lovingly. The attention he never received before seems to be catching up now. He has left his past behind and knows better than anyone how to enjoy every moment. He got along well with his girlfriends in the group right away. Without any tension, without problems. He understands dog language well and knows exactly where the boundaries are without going too far. Walking on a leash was completely new for him, until now he only knew what a chain was, but this smart guy learns quickly and gladly. Now the leash is also a big party and he stands eagerly wagging his tail by the door so we can put it on him. He loves walking and pays good attention to us during daily walks around the animal shelter. So far, he hasn't shown any strong hunting instinct outside, he's too busy exploring, sniffing, enjoying the freedom and our attention. It's a matter of priorities, there's no need to hunt anymore! We also had a cat meeting to see if he could possibly live with cats. This went well but due to his playfulness we would have to advise against it unfortunately, unless there is experienced guidance and cats that are used to dogs. Another dog at home is not a must but he would definitely find it more pleasant. Navi will be an asset in a house and heart with his gentle, uncomplicated and nice character. We are looking for a special person who is just as enthusiastic about life as he is, with whom he can share his contagious joy and happiness for the rest of his beautiful life. Navi is neutered, healthy, vaccinated, negative tested for heartworm, erlichia, leishmania and anaplasma. His suitcase is ready and he can't wait to continue exploring this wonderful outside world!

Asiel Tenerife (Sabine): Update 13 april 2026: Er zijn 8 nieuwe foto's en een nieuwe video toegevoegd, het mag duidelijk zijn dat Navi van knuffelen houdt! Input 31 maart 2026: Navi is nog niet zo lang bij in ons in het asiel maar heeft vanaf de eerste seconde al vele harten gestolen met zijn heerlijk karakter en prachtige uitstraling! Toen we hem bij zijn jager ophaalde zagen we een verdrietig, "gebroken" ziel, vies, aan een ketting in een donker hok. Een gebogen hoofdje, een verdrietige blik en veel te veel ribbetjes. Echter vanaf het eerste minuut dat we onze deur binnenliepen... zagen we een totaal andere hond! Een vrolijke, vriendelijke, nieuwsgierige hond vol levenslust. Één en al dankbaarheid, alsof hij het wist dat zijn leven nu beter ging worden. En elke dag sindsdien maakt hij er een feest van, voor zichzelf, voor zijn maatjes en voor ons. Alles en iedereen is leuk en gezellig en je kan hem gewoon niet boos of kwaad krijgen. Wat een blij ei en wat een rijkdom is het om hem om je heen te hebben met zijn besmettelijk enthousiasme. Je dag kan niet meer stuk nadat je zijn patio in bent geweest. Navi is mensgericht, mannen, vrouwen, bekenden of vreemden. Hij begroet iedereen graag en lief. De aandacht die hij nooit eerder kreeg lijkt hij nu echt in te halen. Hij heeft zijn verleden achter zich gelaten en weet als geen ander om van elk moment te genieten. Ook met zijn vriendinnetjes in de groep ging het meteen goed. Zonder enige spanning, zonder strubbelingen. Hij kent de hondentaal goed en weet precies waar de grenzen zijn zonder zo ver te komen. Aan de lijn lopen was compleet nieuw voor hem, tot nu toe wist hij alleen wat een ketting was maar deze slimme vent leert graag en snel. Inmiddels is de riem ook een groot feest en gaat hij volop kwispelend voor de deur klaar staan zodat we hem kunnen aanlijnen. Hij wandelt heel graag en let goed op ons tijdens de dagelijkse wandelingen rondom het asiel. Tot nu toe laat hij geen enorm jachtinstinct zien buiten, hij is veel te druk met ontdekken, snuffelen, genieten van de vrijheid en van onze aandacht. Kwestie van prioriteiten zou je haast zeggen, jagen hoeft niet meer! We hebben ook meteen een kattenontmoeting gedaan om te zien of hij eventueel bij katten samen zou kunnen wonen. Dit ging goed maar toch door zijn speelsheid zouden we dit afraden helaas, tenzij er ervaren begeleiding is en katten die honden gewend zijn. Een andere hond in huis is geen must maar zou hij zeker wel extra gezellig vinden. Navi zal met zijn zachtaardig, ongecompliceerd en gezellig karakter een aanwinst zijn in huis en hart. Voor hem zoeken we een eigen mens die net zo enthousiast in het leven staat als hij en met wie hij zijn besmettelijke levenslust en vrolijkheid mag gaan delen voor de rest van zijn mooie leventje. Navi is gecastreerd, rondom gezond, ingeënt, negatief getest op filaria, erlichia, leishmania en anaplasma. Zijn koffertje staat klaar en hij staat te popelen om die prachtige buitenwereld verder te gaan ontdekken!
